Despite US forces’ warnings | ISIS woman lures and assassinates SDF fighter in northern Al-Raqqah

Al-Raqqah province: SOHR sources have reported that an SDF fighter was found dead with gunshot wounds in the head near a dumpster in the north of Al-Raqqah city in late August. Meanwhile, ISIS claimed responsibility for the assassination of that SDF fighter, confirming that the attack was carried out with a military gun.

According to SOHR sources, an ISIS woman had got acquainted with the SDF fighter and lured him to the area where his body was found, before shooting him with a silencer gun. SOHR sources have also confirmed that US forces had warned SDF commanders that there were communications between an ISIS woman and SDF commanders and fighters.

ISIS had depended on female members to carry out attacks on many occasions.

SOHR has documented 127 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 97 persons dead: 37 civilians, including a woman and a child, and 60 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
