Armed attack | Two SDF members injured in attack on checkpoint in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen, believed to belong to ISIS cells attacked a checkpoint of Syria Democratic Forces this dawn in Jazarat Al-Bohmaid village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, injuring to SDF members who were taken to a hospital.

This coincides with escalating attacks by ISIS cells in SDF-controlled areas in north-east Syria, especially after appeals by ISIS to its supporters to help the organisation to revive.

SOHR has documented 128 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 97 persons dead: 37 civilians, including a woman and a child, and 60 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
