Old ordnance | Landmine explosion kills three children of one family near regime outpost in Homs countryside

Homs province: SOHR has documented the death of three children of one family due to the explosion of an old landmine near an outpost of the regime forces in Al-Daba’ah village in Al-Qusayr countryside, south of Homs.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 171 civilians, including ten women and 86 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 251 civilians, including 15 women and 141 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
