Ongoing arbitrary arrests | Military and Civil Police arrest three civilians in Afrin to collect ransoms

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that members of a Civil Police patrol arrested two civilians from Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration,” to collect ransoms in the past few days.

Furthermore, members of a Military Police patrol arrested a man from Burj Haydar village in Sherawa district of Afrin countryside for “dealing with the former Autonomous Administration,” in order to collect ransoms.

On August 31, SOHR activists reported that members of a military police checkpoint arrested a civilian from Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo for unknown charges and took him to Military Police security posts in Jendires district.

Moreover, Al-Sham Corps faction, which controls Kara baba village in Raju district in Afrin countryside, arrested a resident of the same village with special needs for ” criticising the National Army factions,” and demanded that his family pay a ransom for his release.
