SOHR: US Forces Install Their Third Military Base In Qamishli

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the US forces installed their third military base in Qamishli, in the countryside of Al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

The London-based observatory said in a press statement that this came after the US forces installed a military base in the village of Naqara, three kilometers southwest of Qamishli.

According to the observatory, the rest of the bases are distributed in each of the village of Himo (four kilometers northwest of Qamishli) and Tal Fares, (three kilometers southwest of Qamishli), along the end of the Qamishli airport runway.

The American forces and the “international coalition against the terrorist organization ISIS” are stationed within the areas of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the al-Omar oil field base in Deir ez-Zor is its largest base in Syria, as well as many oil and gas wells and strategic sites in the region.
