To collect ransoms | Turkish-backed factions arrest seven people in “Peace Spring” area

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that members of the Turkish-backed “National Army” factions arrested seven people in Al-Dirbasiyah city and its countryside in northern of Al-Hasakah, while they were sneaking to Turkish territory in Al-Kantary area in “Peace Spring” area via smuggling.

According to reliable SOHR sources, members of the “National Army” contacted the parents of a young man from Al-Dirbasiyah who was arrested, and demanded 7,000 USDs ransoms. However, the fates of the young man and the six other people remain unknown.

Areas held by the Turkish forces and their proxies have been witnessing several violations against the civilians, in addition to the security chaos in these areas.
On August 29, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian from Al-Shanan village in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, where Turkish border guards “Jandarma” shot him dead.

Moreover, a civilian from Al-Raqqa was severely injured, after both civilians the Turkish-Syrian borders from Ras Al-Ain in “Peace Spring” area in Al-Hasakah countryside, and the injured civilian was transported to Turkish hospitals to receive proper medication.

It is worth noting that different areas of Syria witnessed a large migration wave, due to deteriorating living conditions and to escape from compulsory service.
