After ten years of detention | College student dies under brutal torture in regime prisons

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a Syrian young man from Aleppo, under brutal torturing after being detained for ten years within the 235th Branch, which is known as “Palestine Branch” and is one of the prisons run by the Syrian Intelligence in the capital Damscus and is known to be infamous.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the young man used to study in Aleppo College, and has been arrested by Security Branches since 2012.

Accordingly, the number of civilians who died under torture in regime prisons which has been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the beginning of 2022 has risen to 76 including two dissident army officers and 38 people from Eastern Ghouta whose death certificates were delivered by regime to their families in February.
