24th attack | Israeli airstrikes destroy warehouse of Iranian militias and damage Aleppo International Airport

SOHR activists have reported hearing loud explosions in the vicinity of Al-Malkiyah neighbourhood near Aleppo International Airport, due to the Israeli airstrikes on warehouses of the Iranian-backed militias, destroying these warehouses and setting them on fire.

Moreover, Israeli missiles hit the runway of Aleppo International Airport and at least two missiles hit the vicinity of the airport, causing huge material damages.

SOHR activists have just reported that violent explosions hit several areas in Syria, due to the Israeli shelling on the area of Aleppo International Airport, causing explosions in the targeted area.

It is worth noting that this is the 24th Israeli attack on Syrian territory in 2022.

On August 31, SOHR activists reported that the Israeli shelling on the International Aleppo Airport, was targeting an ammunition warehouse for the Iranian militias located in the vicinity of the airport with three missiles. Moreover, a fourth missile hit the airport campus.

It is worth noting that this attack on the International Aleppo Airport was the first of its kind since March 2019.

SOHR activists reported that four Israeli shells hit a runway of the International Aleppo Airport and warehouses in its vicinity, causing fire and explosions to erupt, likely to be due to the explosion of a batch of Iranian missiles.
