Arrest campaign | Regime intelligence arrests five people in neighbourhoods around Aleppo airport

Air and Military intelligence launched a raid and search campaign, arresting at least five people this morning, in Al-Malikiyah neighbourhood and residential areas surrounding Aleppo International Airport, hours after the Israeli attack on Tuesday evening, September 6, which put the airport out of service and caused damage to the airport surroundings.

According to SOHR sources, AirForce Intelligence arrested a number of civilians for “communicating with hostile actors.”

Syrian Observatory sources have confirmed that the AirForce arrested nearly 15 civilians after the previous attack on the airport on August 31, while releasing some of them, after gathering complete information about the population.

A few hours ago, SOHR sources confirmed that three people were killed, and five others were wounded, by Israeli strikes on Aleppo International Airport and its vicinity.

SOHR sources had also confirmed that six Israeli strikes targeted the airport and its surroundings, severely damaging the airport runway and putting the airport out of service.

It is worth noting that this is the 24th Israeli attack on Syrian territories during 2022.
