Old ordnance | Child dies and three others injured in landmine explosion in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)
Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a child and the injury of three others severely, due to the explosion of an old landmine of war remnants in Aidak village in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) countryside eastern of Aleppo, while they were herding sheep in the vicinity of the village.
It is worth noting that the children are of one family and were displaced from Hama province.
Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 178 civilians, including ten women and 92 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 258 civilians, including 16 women and 146 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man, and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
