Raiding river crossings | SDF shoot person accused of “drug dealing” in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have documented the injury of a young man, who is accused of “smuggling drugs from SDF-held areas to regime areas”, where he was shot by members of an SDF patrol, while they were raiding a river crossing linking between Al-Janinah and Al-Baghiliya areas in western Deir Ezzor countryside in regime-held areas.

Earlier this morning, SOHR activists reported that SDF military patrols raided the area of river crossings in Al-Shinan and Al-Tayana towns in Deir Ezzor countryside, and set a fuel barrel on fire. The barrel was set to be smuggled towards regime-held areas on the opposite bank of Euphrates river.

According to reliable SOHR sources, trade fire took place between members of the patrol and residents of Al-Shinan town, after a young man was injured by a stray bullet fired by members of the patrol during the raid.
