Ongoing security chaos in Daraa | Drug dealer assassinated in eastern countryside

Daraa province: The province of Daraa which is under the control of regime forces have witnessed alarming escalation of security disorder, mainly ongoing assassinations and rampant drug business run by the Lebanese Hezbollah and Syrian regime in cooperation with local drug dealers.

 

In this context, SOHR activists have documented the death of a drug dealer, as he was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Bosr Al-Harir town in east Daraa countryside.

 

Since early 2022, the number of attacks documented by SOHR in Daraa province has risen to 372, which left 313 people dead; and they are as follows:

 

  • 149 civilians, including four women and five children.

 

  • 128 regime military personnel, “collaborators” with security services and members with settled-status working for regime services and backed militias.

 

  • 21 former fighters who did not join any military formation, after striking reconciliation deals.

 

  • Four ex-ISIS member.

 

  • Seven unidentified people.

 

  • Four militiamen of the Russian-backed 5th
