Ongoing violations | “National Army” faction assaults and arrests civilians and seize their properties in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported members of a civil police patrol arrested a civilian from Jendires district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo in the past few days for “dealing with the former “Autonomous- Administration,” to collect ransoms.

During the past few days, members of Al-Hamza faction arrested six civilians from Basutah village in Shirawa district of Afrin countryside on various charges, including two people were arrested for ” performing compulsory service of the former Autonomous-Administration,” while the others were arrested for “dealing with Autonomous- Administration.”

Moreover, members of Al-Sham Corps arrested two civilians, one from Favartin village and the other from Kabashin village in Shirawa district of Afrin countryside for unknown charges.

Furthermore, members of Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah faction severely beat a resident of Afrin on September 2 in Ashrafieh neighbourhood on the pretext that the man had parked in front of the leader’s house, threatening to break his car if he again parked in front of the leader’s house.
