Armed attack | Four regime soldiers killed and injured in attack on regime’s air defence battalion in northern Homs countryside

Homs province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a regime soldier yesterday in northern Homs countryside.

According to SOHR activists, an armed group opened fire at a checkpoint of the regime’s air defence battalion in the vicinity of Al-Ghantou village in northern Homs countryside.

This armed attack left a non-commissioned officer, who is from Bashnin village in western Hama countryside, dead and three regime soldiers injured.

On August 31, SOHR activists reported that unidentified gunmen targeted two collaborators with Lebanese Hezbollah militia and regime forces in Rankos town in north-western Rif Dimashq, leaving one dead and the other injured.

It is worth noting that Rankos area is witnessing smuggling operations between Lebanon and Syria, under the supervision of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

The injured man is accused of snitching a number of people in the town while they were hiding in a house, then regime forces managed to attack them and kill eight of them nearly two years ago.
