Repeated attacks on medical facilities | Medical staff in Jarablus Hospital setup an open strike

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that medical staff in Jarablus Hospital in eastern Aleppo countryside carried out a strike, protesting against the repeated attacks on doctors and medical staff by gunmen and families of the patients, in addition to the deteriorating living conditions of medical staff, low wages and lack of medical equipment and medicine.

Yesterday, an armed man displaced from Homs city took out his gun and pointed it at the doctors in Al-Bab Al-Jadid Hospital and insulted them, following disputes with the medical staff.

The residents accuse the medical staff in the hospitals controlled by Turkish forces and their proxies in northern Aleppo countryside, of “nepotism and handful selection of the patients, not dispensing free medicine, and only providing medicine to their relatives and patients of the National Army factions.”

On September 8, SOHR activists reported that teachers staged protests in areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxy factions in Aleepo countryside, protesting the deteriorating educational quality and poor living conditions of teachers.

According to SOHR activists, dozens of teachers in the towns of Al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, Azaz and Marea’ in the northern countryside of Aleppo, have staged peaceful protests, demanding improvement of their living conditions, raising their wages, and a unified internal system for schools, amid veiled accusations of stealing their salaries and questions about the main source of salaries.
