Third anti-Hezbollah militia attack in 13 days | Commander of Hezbollah-backed militia killed at Syria-Lebanon border in Rif Dimashq

Rif Dimashq province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a commander close to Lebanese Hezbollah operating under the banner of “Al-Ba’ath Brigades” militia,” which is backed by Hezbollah, in an ambush carried out by unidentified persons in Kfir Yabous village in Rif Dimashq on Syria-Lebanon border.

 

It is worth noting that the area is witnessing smuggling operations between Lebanon and Syria, under the supervision of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

This is the third assassination attempt that hit commanders close to Hezbollah, and this is the second commander of militias backed by Lebanese Hezbollah to be killed in less than 13 days.

On August 29, SOHR activists reported that a commander close to Lebanese Hezbollah was assassinated in an area that came under Israeli bombardment in Rif Dimashq.

According to SOHR sources, unidentified gunmen shot dead the commander of Al-Ba’ath Brigades in Al-Tuwani village in Al-Qutayfa countryside in Rif Dimashq, just after midnight.

The commander was targeted by several bullets that killed him instantly.

 

On August 31, unidentified gunmen targeted two collaborators with Lebanese Hezbollah militia and regime forces in Rankos town in north-western Rif Dimashq, leaving one dead and the other injured.

It is worth noting that Rankos area is witnessing smuggling operations between Lebanon and Syria, under the supervision of the Lebanese Hezbollah.
