Ongoing arbitrary arrests | Regime forces arrest two young men north-west of Daraa

Daraa province: SOHR activists have documented the arrest of two young men by regime forces on Ankhil-Nawa road in areas controlled by Syrian regime forces and their proxy militias in north-western countryside of Daraa.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that regime Security Services arrested a former opposition factions’ commander, who underwent reconciliation, at Al-Qanya checkpoints in northern Daraa countryside, and took him to an unknown destination. However, the charges pressed against him were not identified.

Earlier yesterday, SOHR activists reported that regime forces stationed at Tayara checkpoint arrested nearly ten civilians after the failure of a meeting on September 7 between Syrian regime officials and the dignitaries of Jassim on Jassim-Nawa road, west of Daraa, when regime forces set up a checkpoint there.
