Fearing assassinations and possible attacks | Iranian-affiliated militias order their members not to leave headquarters unless necessary in Al-Mayadeen

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists, in Al-Mayadeen “Iranian colony” in west Euphrates region, have reported that Iranian-backed militias, especially non-Syrian ones, ordered their members to dramatically limit their movements in Al-Mayadeen city for fear of possible attack.

According to SOHR sources, militiamen leave their headquarters and bases only when necessary and take their caution, for fear of assassinations.

On September 9, SOHR activists reported that the Lebanese “Hezbollah” militias arrested 17 of its Syrian members, for “dealing with the International Coalition”. Meanwhile, the arrested members are being investigated.

Accordingly, the number of Syrian members of the Lebanese “Hezbollah”, who were handed over to regime forces, has risen to 63 since September.

The Lebanese “Hezbollah” militias are worried about the disloyalty of their Syrian members, and accuse them of “dealing with the International Coalition under the support of the United States of America”, where the International Coalition forces executed several airstrikes on the positions of “Hezbollah” in Deir Ezzor province during the past period.
