Torture victim | Civilian killed under brutal torturing in regime prisons

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian from A’zaz city in northern Aleppo countryside, under brutal torture in regime prisons, after eight years of detention.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the civilian was arrested in 2013, and died due to brutal torture that he suffered inside the prison in the same year. Meanwhile, his parents were informed about his death a few days ago.

Accordingly, the number of civilians who died under torture in regime prisons which has been documented by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights since the beginning of 2022 has risen to 77 including two dissident army officers and 38 people from Eastern Ghouta whose death certificates were delivered by regime to their families in February.
