Raid campaign | Asayish clashes with group of suspected people in town east of Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that a military patrol of Internal Security Forces (Asayish) has raided houses in Abu Hamam town in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to arrest wanted persons.

During the raid campaign, the suspected group refused to surrender and clashed with Asayish members, leaving a number of casualties. The tension prevails in the area.

On September 7, SOHR activists documented the injury of a young man, who is accused of “smuggling drugs from SDF-held areas to regime areas”, where he was shot by members of an SDF patrol, while they were raiding a river crossing linking between Al-Janinah and Al-Baghiliya areas in western Deir Ezzor countryside in regime-held areas.
