Raid in eastern Deir Ezzor | Member of Asayish Forces killed and woman and two children injured in indiscriminate gunfire

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that a woman and two children were injured in indiscriminate gunfire during a raid by a patrol of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) into a house in Al-Layz neighbourhood in Abu Hamam town in east Deir Ezzor countryside.

Moreover, a member of Asayish Forces was killed and a civilian car was burnt down during the raid which led to the arrest of ten people.

A few hours ago, SOHR sources reported that a military patrol of Internal Security Forces (Asayish) raided houses in Abu Hamam town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor to arrest suspects.

During the raid campaign, the suspected group refused to surrender and clashed with Asayish members, leaving several casualties, amid growing tension in the area.

On September 7, SOHR activists documented the injury of a young man, who was accused of “smuggling drugs from SDF-held areas to regime-controlled areas,” where he was shot by members of an SDF patrol, while they were raiding a river crossing linking between Al-Janinah and Al-Baghiliya areas in west Deir Ezzor countryside in regime-held areas.
