Old ordnance | Civilian killed by landmine explosion in southern Idlib countryside

Idlib province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian affected by the wounds he sustained two days ago, due to the explosion of an old landmine of war remnants near Al-Tah village in southern Idlib countryside, which is held by regime forces.

Accordingly, SOHR has documented the death of 179 civilians, including ten women and 92 children, due to explosions of old landmines, unexploded shells and bombs across Syria since early 2022. In addition, 260 civilians, including 16 women and 148 children, sustained various injuries in the same period. Among the total death toll, a man, and his son were killed in the collapse of a war-damaged building in Darya city in Rif Dimashq, as well as the death of four civilians in the collapse of another building in Jubar neighbourhood.
