To collect ransoms | “National Army” members arrest a “seeker for safe haven” in Al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that members of the Turkish-backed “National Army” arrested a young man from Dirbasiyah countryside western of Al-Hasakah, while he was trying to sneak into Turkish territory through smuggling from Ras Al-Ain area in “Peace Spring” area.

According to reliable SOHR sources, members of the “National Army” contacted the parents of the young man demanding 8,000 USDs ransom to release him. Meanwhile, the fate of the young man is still unknown.

It is worth noting that the Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” area work on transporting the seekers for a safe haven from SDF areas towards Turkey for huge amounts of money, in addition to the kidnaps to receive ransoms and many more crimes.

On September 5, SOHR activists reported that members of the Turkish-backed “National Army” factions arrested seven people in Al-Dirbasiyah city and its countryside in northern of Al-Hasakah, while they were sneaking to Turkish territory in Al-Kantary area in “Peace Spring” area via smuggling.
According to reliable SOHR sources, members of the “National Army” contacted the parents of a young man from Al-Dirbasiyah who was arrested, and demanded 7,000 USDs ransoms. However, the fates of the young man and the six other people were unknown.
