Syrian desert | Russian fighter jets execute intensive airstrikes on ISIS hideouts and positions

Reliable SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets have been consecutively targeting ISIS positions and hideouts since morning, where they executed nearly 20 airstrikes on Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah province.

It is worth noting that ISIS cells are active and numerous in scattered areas in the Syrian desert where they carry out attacks and ambushes, targeting regime forces and their proxies.

Accordingly, the number of airstrikes carried out by Russian fighter jets on ISIS positions and hideouts in the Syrian desert since early September 2022 has risen to 100.

On August 31, SOHR activists reported that Russian fighter jets executed airstrikes on positions in Jabal Al-Dahek near Al-Sokhnah city and the villages of Taybeh and Al-Kom, north of Al-Sokhnah in the eastern countryside of Homs. According to SOHR activists, Russian airstrikes hit ISIS hideouts.
