Seeking a safe haven | Turkish Jandarma arrests three people including young woman and minor in “Peace Spring” area

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that the Turkish Jandarma arrested a young woman and a minor from Tel Tamr countryside, and a young man from Dirbasiyah city in Al-Hasakah countryside, after they passed the Turkish borders via smuggling in Ras Al-Ain area in “Peace Spring” area to migrate to Europe.

According to reliable SOHR sources, the child and the young woman from Amoma town remained five days with the smugglers to cross to Turkish territory, while the Turkish Jandarma members arrested and brutally beat them then dumbed them in Syrian territory behind the borders.

Meanwhile, members of the Turkish-backed “National Army” blackmailed the parents of a young man that they arrested, demanding 8,000 USDs to release him.

It is worth noting that the Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” area transports those seeking a safe haven from SDF-areas towards Turkey for huge amounts of money, in addition to the kidnaps to get financial ransoms and many other crimes.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that members of the Turkish-backed “National Army” arrested a young man from Dirbasiyah countryside western of Al-Hasakah, while he was trying to sneak into Turkish territory through smuggling from Ras Al-Ain area in “Peace Spring” area.

According to reliable SOHR sources, members of the “National Army” contacted the parents of the young man demanding 8,000 USDs ransom to release him.
