Iran’s capital in Syria | Clashes erupt between Iran-backed militias and regime-backed militias in Al-Mayadin

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored armed clashes between members of a joint patrol of the National Defence and the Military Security on one hand, and Syrian members of Iran-backed militias on the other hand in Al-Mayadin city in Deir Ezzor countryside.

Accordingly, the joint patrol members arrested two members of the Iran-backed militias, after the militias threw a grenade at the joint patrol members.

On September 13, SOHR activists documented the injury of a member of the State Security, due to clashes between members of the regime-backed National Defence on one hand, and members of the State Security on the other hand in Al-Joura neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, amid large security tension in the neighbourhoods of the city.

On September 11, a commander of the National Defence militia was arrested by regime forces in Al-Jura neighbourhood of Deir Ezzor, SOHR activsists reported.

A patrol of regime forces raided the house of the deputy commander of National Defence militia on the main street in Al-Jura neighbourhood in Deir Ezzor city, and clashes with the commander.

It is worth noting that the commander had a bad reputation. The reason for the commander arrest remained unknown, while some suggested that it is for settling scores.
