Bizarre development | Turkish forces attack Russian patrol on M4 highway in rural Al-Raqqah

Reliable SOHR sources have reported that Turkish forces have fired artillery shells on a Russian patrol which it was staying near machineries erecting soil barriers on Aleppo-Al-Hasakah international highway (M4) in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, forcing the Russians to leave that area immediately.

 

On the other hand, Turkish forces shelled Sayda village in the east of Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, but no casualties were reported.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces and their proxies stationed in Tel Abyad city in “Peace Spring” area shelled Qaizly village in Tel Abyad countryside, Hoshan, Abo Naitana and M4 international highway in Ain Issa countryside, north of Al-Raqqah. This came after five days of tense calm.

 

While on September 9, SOHR activists reported that a civilian from Deir Ezzor was shot dead by a Turkish sniper, after he stopped on the road to fix his car in the vicinity of Al-Khalediyah village in Ain Issa district on the M4 highway in northern Al-Raqqah countryside.
