Security chaos | Unidentified gunmen target commander of Civil Intelligence in “Peace Spring” areas

Al-Raqqa province: SOHR activists have monitored an assassination attempt against a commander of the “Civil Intelligence Service” by unidentified gunmen inside his car near Tel Abyad city within “Peace Spring” areas northern of Al-Raqqa, where he was moved in an ambulance vehicle to Turkey, amid reports of his death.

This comes in light of the ongoing security chaos in areas held by Turkish forces and their proxies.

On September 15, SOHR activists reported that anger and popular discontent grew in areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions and across Syria over the heinous crime committed by a member of Souqur Al-Shamal faction opperating under the banner of Turkish-backed National Army faction against an Iraqi child in Ras Al-Ain Sere Kanye.

Mustafa Salama, a member of Souqur Al-Shamal” faction of National Army, abducted and sexually and physically assaulted an Iraqi child, Yassin Al-Mahmoud, killing him in cold blood and dumping him in front of his house.
