Security chaos | Infighting erupts between two families in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored clashes with light weapons between two families, who are cousins of Al-Shoa’itat tribe, in the market of Gharanij town within SDF-held areas eastern of Deir Ezzor, where one person was injured and taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the SDF General Security Forces interfered to stop the infighting.

On August 6, SOHR sources reported that a young man was killed by his cousin in Al-Bahrah town in eastern Deir Ezzor over an earlier retaliation between the two families. This coincided with the escalating tribal-featured infightings in SDF-controlled areas.

SOHR activists in SDF-controlled village of Al-Jalamidah in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor have documented the death of a civilian in clashes which followed disagreements over smuggling food to regime-controlled areas.
