Asking for forgiveness | Woman abandon her baby boy in Al-Suwaidaa city

Al-Suwaidaa province: SOHR sources have reported that unidentified baby boy was found in the reception hall of Al-Suwaidaa hospital, before residents took him the Social Welfare Home.

 

According to SOHR sources, an unidentified woman left her baby boy in the reception hall of Al-Suwaidaa national hospital, after she left a letter with the baby, in which she apologised to the person who would find the boy and asked for taking care of the baby and for forgiveness.

 

This comes as a part of the dramatic increase in the number of abandoned new-born babies in light of the ongoing war.

 

According to SOHR statistics, this is the 30 case of abandoned new-born babies since early 2022 with 21 cases documented in regime-controlled areas and nine documented in SDF-controlled areas.
