Protesting destroying agricultural land | Mass demonstration against Turkish abuses in Tadaf town in Al-Bab countryside east of Aleppo

Aleppo province: The residents of Tadaf town in Al-Bab countryside, east of Aleppo have staged protests, setting rubber tyres to blaze and blocking the roads, to express their wrath over destroying farmland near Tadaf city to bring sand into the Turkish military base in Jabal Al-Sheikh A’qeel.

According to SOHR sources, on Sunday, a number of bulldozers of municipality of Tadaf began to destroy the farmland which is owned by residents near the Tadaf roundabout and moved the sand into Al-Sheikh Aqeel base to build a park and fortify the Turkish base on the outskirts of Tadaf city.

The military police intervened in favour of the municipality and forcibly dispersed the protests.

It is worth noting that Turkish forces seized by force a large number of civilian homes and demolished other houses in Jabal Al-Sheikh A’qeel to set up a military base.

In 2021, The residents staged protests demanding financial compensation from Turkish forces and the municipality for the demolition of a number of homes by Turkish forces. However, Turkish forces and their proxy factions suppressed these peaceful protests.

The Turkish military base in Jabal Al-Sheikh A’qeel is used by Turkish forces to fire shells on Kurdish and regime forces in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
