Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have monitored the removal of military positions in Al-Mayadin city, the capital of Iranian militias in eastern Syria, in fear of attacks by the “International Coalition.”

According to reliable SOHR sources in Al-Mayadin city, the Iranian-backed militias left their positions including the checkpoints and guard areas in Al-Mayadin city and its countryside, and the members fled to hidden areas away from civilians.

Moreover, a group of trucks driven by Lebanese drivers arrived yesterday to Al-Mayadin city, and headed towards Al-Bo Kamal city.

On September 12, SOHR activists, in Al-Mayadeen “Iranian colony” in west Euphrates region, reported that Iranian-backed militias, especially non-Syrian ones, ordered their members to dramatically limit their movements in Al-Mayadeen city for fear of possible attack.

According to SOHR sources, militiamen leave their headquarters and bases only when necessary and take their caution, for fear of assassinations.

On September 9, SOHR activists reported that the Lebanese “Hezbollah” militias arrested 17 of its Syrian members, for “dealing with the International Coalition”. Meanwhile, the arrested members are being investigated.
