After storming his house | ISIS cells threaten an accused of drug trafficking and cooperating with SDF

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen, likely to be ISIS members, stormed the house of a young man in Suwaydan Jazira town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, and brutally beat him for “drug dealing and cooperating with SDF”. The gunmen threatened the young man in case he doesn’t stop selling drugs to civilians and dealing with SDF members.

This attack comes as part of ISIS resurgence in SDF-held areas, and threatening those working with Autonomous Administration institutions and dealing with SDF.

SOHR has documented 137 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 109 persons dead: 37 civilians, including a woman and a child, and 72 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
