Al-Raqqah province: Syrian Observatory sources have revealed details of the killing of a senior SDF leader, Mohammed Korpuz, known as “Dogan Amanos,” accompanied by another leader nicknamed “Tshello,” who were among five military personnel killed, by a Turkish drone attack on a military post in Ain Issa on September 16.

According to SOHR sources, SDF members told Dogan to go to the hospital from a different route as he was trying to get out of a fortified place to a hospital for treatment. The leader on a motorbike accompanied by the other leader crossed a military checkpoint, then they were targeted by a missile fired from a Turkish drone, killing them instantly.

Meanwhile, members of the military police came to search for cells cooperating with Turkey, but they were also targeted and three of them were killed.

Following these attacks, the military police arrested nearly 35 members operating under the banner of commander Dogan for investigation and accountability.

On Sunday, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) arrested dozens of military and civilian people in Ain Issa area of “capital of Autonomous Administration” in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah, SOHR sources reported.
