Turkish military escalation | Shells hit areas in western Manbij countryside

Aleppo province: Turkish forces and their proxy factions have fired artillery shells on areas in Al-Asliyah village in the western countryside of Manbij, north-east of Aleppo.

Several shells hit the village hosting positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Manbij Military Council forces. However, no casualties have been reported so far.

On September 2, SOHR sources reported violent clashes between the SDF-backed “Al-Bab Military Council Forces” on one hand, and Turkish forces and their proxy factions on the other, amid an exchange of rocket and artillery fire on the frontlines of Al-Arimah village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

This came after tense calm which prevailed in that region since the meeting between Coalition delegation with SDF commanders on August 23.
