Military escalation | Turkish forces shell positions already targeted by Turkish jets in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Turkish ground forces shelled military positions in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), where heavy artillery shells hit common positions between regime forces and SDF in the vicinity of “Qorah Mogh” village in Ain Al-Arab countryside eastern of Aleppo. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

On September 18, SOHR activists reported that Turkish warplanes executed several airstrikes on positions of the regime forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces in Qarmug area and other areas in Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) countryside, east of Aleppo.

These airstrikes left a number of casualties among regime forces, while SOHR activists confirmed that three regime soldiers were killed by Turkish airstrikes.

The death toll was believed to rise amid reports by SOHR activists that other people were killed, and some others are seriously injured.

It is worth noting that regime forces had bombarded areas in Turkish territory before this aerial bombardment that was executed by Turkish forces.
