Syria and Cuba continue coordination at international forums

This position of both foreign ministers was expressed during a meeting held within the framework of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the official Syrian news agency SANA reported.

According to this media outlet, both ministers reviewed ways to develop bilateral relations and challenges arising from the hostile escalation of US military and economic policies against both nations.

The Syrian foreign minister said relations between Damascus and Havana are historic and solid and there is no other alternative than resistance to US hegemony.

We must also advance in the consolidation of national sovereignty and withstand hostile policies against our peoples, he stressed.

The Cuban Foreign Minister, in turn, thanked Syria for its firm stance of support for Cuba in the face of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States.
