Security operation | Regime soldier killed in raid on farm in rural Daraa

SOHR sources have reported that regime forces and their proxy militias stormed a house in a farm on the outskirts of Jasim city in the northern countryside of Daraa this morning, searching for suspects believed to be of ISIS cells. During the raid exchange of heavy fire erupted between the two sides, leaving a regime soldier dead.

Meanwhile, regime forces opened fire with light machineguns on the house, before regime tanks shelled farms around Jasim city.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that clashes with medium and light weapons broke out between a group of the regime-backed 8th Brigade and a group of members of the military security service from Al-Jizah town in the eastern countryside of Daraa. No casualties were reported.

According to SOHR activists, clashes broke out near a petrol station on Al-Jizah-Ghassem road following a dispute over diesel distribution, as the patrol station that had received nearly 1,200 litres of diesel, but only half of the quantity of diesel was distributed. The 8th Brigade asked for a larger amount of diesel, before the dispute erupted and evolved into clashes.
