ISIS attack on SDF patrol | SDF brings military reinforcements to western Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that gunmen on a motorbike, believed to be ISIS members, attacked an SDF military patrol in Al-Kabr town in western Deir Ezzor countryside, injuring several SDF members, amid huge mobilization of SDF and bringing of military reinforcements to the town.

This comes in light of the increasing activity of ISIS cells in SDF-held areas in northern and eastern of Syria.

SOHR has documented 140 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 110 persons dead: 37 civilians, including a woman and a child, and 73 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.

It is worth noting that these attacks have not included the operation of Ghuwayran prison, which left heavy losses.
