Following protests calling for restoring properties | Commander in “Malik Shah” threatens to kill residents and “pack their bodies in plastic bags”

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that a commander in the Turkish-backed faction “Malik Shah” known as “Abu Suleiman Al-Deiri” has threatened to kill the residents who participated in yesterday’s peaceful protests in Al-Bab city centre in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, in which they called for restoring their properties which had been taken over by force by members of the faction.

According to SOHR sources, the commander headed to the houses of some residents on the road between Al-Bab and Al-Ra’i, who participated in yesterday’s protests, where he threatened to cut off the leg of a young man and give him a plastic leg instead. The commander also threatened to kill the residents, chop their bodies and pack them in plastic bags, if they decided to participate in similar protests. The residents later headed to the military police headquarters where they filed complaints against the commander.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported seeing dozens of civilians gathering near Al-Centre roundabout in Al-Bab city in east Aleppo countryside, where they protest the seizure of dozens of civilian homes by force nearly four years ago by leaders of  “Malik Shah” faction.

According to SOHR activists, the protests were staged on Friday, as the people lost hope that their property would be restored by law, despite having filed complaints at the judiciary in Al-Bab city in the past four years against the leaders of “Malik Shah” faction, but they were unable to get their property back.

Although the residents had got a court order to restore their properties, “Malik Shah” leaders refused to evacuate the houses and hand them over to their owners.

Meanwhile, the protestors have threatened to escalate their protests and to demonstrate periodically until they were able to restore all their properties usurped by Malik Shah faction by force.

The residents condemned the failure of the military police and “National Army” faction to implement the court orders, which stipulate that properties must have been handed over to their owners.
