With new regime reinforcements | Three Russian warplanes alternate shelling ISIS positions

SOHR activists have reported that three Russian warplanes have alternated shelling on ISIS positions in Al-Rasafa desert in Al-Raqqa countryside. However, the extents of damage and number of casualties have not been reported yet.

It is worth noting that ISIS members are deployed in different areas in the Syrian desert, and they execute operations and set up traps against the regime forces and their proxies.

On the other hand, new reinforcements of the regime forces and their proxies have moved from Hama countryside towards the Syrian desert to search for ISIS members.

On September 24, SOHR activists reported that Russian fighter jets executed airstrikes, targeting ISIS hideouts in Al-Rusafah desert, south-west of Raqqah. No further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage.

On September 14, reliable SOHR sources reported that Russian fighter jets had been consecutively targeting ISIS positions and hideouts, where they executed nearly 20 airstrikes on Al-Rasafah desert in Al-Raqqah province.

It is worth noting that ISIS cells are active and numerous in scattered areas in the Syrian desert where they carry out attacks and ambushes, targeting regime forces and their proxies.
