Drug Trafficking | SDF clashes with National Defence militias at river crossing in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that clashes with medium and heavy weapons have erupted between the National Defence Militia and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) at Al-Baghiliyah river crossing, while attempting to smuggle narcotics. No casualties have been reported so far.

On September 7, SOHR activists documented the injury of a young man, who is accused of “smuggling drugs from SDF-held areas to regime areas”, where he was shot by members of an SDF patrol, while they were raiding a river crossing linking between Al-Janinah and Al-Baghiliya areas in western Deir Ezzor countryside in regime-held areas.
