Deir Ezzor countryside | Two people killed and others injured in tribal fighting, while unidentified persons shoot civilian

Deir Ezzor province: Two people were killed in northern Deir Ezzor countryside due to an old dispute, while a civilian was injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire at him in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.

According to SOHR activists, a quarrel erupted between two people in front of a bread bakery in Al-Ezbah town in northern Deir Ezzor countryside over an old dispute, which soon developed into fighting with light and medium weapons between the two families. The armed fighting left two men dead and others injured.

Meanwhile, a man was injured after being shot by unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle near Al-A’ttal roundabout, east of Al-Basira city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The gunmen fled to an unknown destination.

On September 19, SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen in a van shot a civilian from Al-Tabaqah city in west Al-Raqqah countryside dead, while he was leaving a mosque in the SDF-controlled village of Aida near Al-Tabaqah city. The attack follows a dispute between the victim and others over the possession of a plot of land.

In the same context, infighting erupted between Al-Nasser and Al-Bojaber tribes in Al-Tabaqah city, but no casualties have been reported so far. Meanwhile, a state of tension is growing in the city.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported clashes with light weapons between two families of Al-She’aytat tribe in the market of the SDF-controlled town of Gharanij, east of Deir Ezzor. The clashes left one person injured, and he was taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the SDF General Security Forces interfered to break up the infighting.
