Fifth anniversary of horrific massacre | 38 civilians, including children and women, were killed by regime airstrikes on residential neighbourhoods in Armanaz in Idlib countryside
SOHR renews its call for bringing the perpetrators and those involved in killing Syrian people to justice
On September 29, 2017, regime warplanes carried out two airstrikes, targeting civilians in Armanaz in Idlib countryside. Regime airstrikes killed more than 38 civilians, including eight children and eight women.
Regime warplanes executed another airstrikes targeting the same targeted area, where rescue teams rushed to rescue the injured people and recover those trapped under the rubble.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) would like to bring to mind heinous massacres committed against innocent and peaceful Syrian civilians by all conflicting and warring powers in Syrian territory, especially since killing of Syrians has been still continuing for over a decade.
We, at SOHR, renew our calls to bring all those responsible and those who aided and abetted the killing of Syrian people to justice. We also appeal to the international community and united nations to intensify their efforts to reach a political settlement which could potentially put an end to bloodshed in Syria.
