Military escalation | Turkish forces exchange shelling with Kurdish and regime forces in Afrin

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that violent clashes erupted between Turkish forces and their proxies on one hand and Kurdish and regime forces on the other hand, at the frontline of Abin village in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside northern of Aleppo, amid exchanged artillery shelling on the frontlines. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

On September 26, SOHR sources reported that positions in the vicinity of Marea city came under attack by rockets fired from areas under the control of Kurdish and regime forces in north Aleppo countryside. No further details were reported about the number of causalities and material damage caused by the attack.

SOHR activists also reported that Turkish forces responded to the attack by firing artillery shells on the vicinity of Kurdish-controlled village of Al-Sheikh Isa in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
