IED explosion | ISIS cells target money exchange store in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen, likely to be ISIS members, caused an IED explosion in a money exchange store in the centre of Al-Azba town market in northern Deir Ezzor countryside, causing only material damages.

SOHR has documented 145 operations carried out by ISIS, including armed attacks and explosions, in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration since early 2022. According to SOHR statistics, these operations left 113 persons dead: 39 civilians, including two women and a child, and 74 members of SDF, the Internal Security Forces and other military formations operating in areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration.
