SOHR exclusive | “Iranian scheme in Syria threatens its safety and security,” says dignitary of Al-Bobadran tribe Rawi Al-Muhaysen
In an exclusive interview with SOHR, a dignitary of Al-Bobadran tribe, Rawi Al-Muhaysen has warned against the serious repercussions of Iran’s intervention in Syria, especially since its affiliated militias continues to entrench their presence and instill their ideologies into the segments of Syrian society, through “Shi’aism” proselytising operations (conversion to Shiite), exploiting the civilians’ dreadful living conditions. The dignitary says, “we, Syrian people, suffer from a bitter situation during this period, especially in Deir Ezzoe city, its suburbs and the surrounding seven villages whose residents have been forced to be displaced, including Hatllah, Marrat and Al-Salihiyah.”
Al-Muhaysen has stressed that Iran continues “Shi’aism” proselytising operations by offering financial incentives and continuous usage of religion and sectarianism, erasing all features of Sunni Islam. The tribal dignitary says, “not only has the Iranian intervention in the Syria’s interior affairs imposed a political and military occupation, but also Iran has focused its efforts spread Shi’aism at the expense of Sunnism through luring young men to join Iranian-backed militias. Iran provides help and support to some families, build hosayniyas -congregation halls for Twelver Shia Muslim commemoration ceremonies, for their proxy militiamen, where the Shiite Azan (call to prayers) is used and Shiite rituals are practiced-, as well as rehabilitating teachers by admitting them to educational expeditions in Iran, before appointing them in schools in Syria in order to erase the Sunni Syrian identity and replace it with the extremist Shiite-Safavid doctrine. Iran is a few steps from reaching its goal, after having managed to exploit the dire living conditions of all Syrians in light of the intransigence of the tyrannical regime which continues besieging, displacing and starving us.”
Al-Muhaysen has appealed to all relevant powers and authorities to stop the Iran’s evil scheme in Syria, which threatens the safety and security of the entire region, while the ongoing expansion of the Iranians threatens the security of the whole world, clarifying that Iran’s ambition is not confined to exert predomination on Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq, as it dreams to revive the so-called “Persian Empire” through imposing its control and influence over the entire world, as he described.
