Having threatened by ISIS | Car of Deir Ezzor Civil Council employee hit by IED

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists reported that the car that exploded at the entrance to Al-Basirah village in Deir Ezzor countryside is of an employee of Deir Ezzor Civil Council.

It is worth noting that the employee is one of those threatened to be killed by ISIS with a paper containing a list of names hanged by ISIS on building walls, more than ten days ago.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that an explosion hit Al-Basirah city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside within SDF-held areas, where an IED explosion targeted a “Carnaval” car at an accessory street 200 metres away from the entrance of Al-Basirah city, causing only material damages.

On September 22, SOHR activists reported that ISIS members hanged leaflets on the walls in some areas for the second consecutive day in Al-Basira city within SDF-held areas in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, which include threats to 11 employees of the Autonomous Administration’s institutions in the city.

SOHR obtained a copy of the leaflets that read: “The punishment for those who fight against God and His Messenger, striving to spread corruption in the land, is to be killed, crucified, have their hands and feet cut off or be exiled from the land, as their shame in life and their punishment in the afterlife.”

On September 21, SOHR activists reported that ISIS cells put sticky notes with ISIS slogan on the walls of some buildings in the SDF-controlled Al-Basirah city in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, including a threat to five employees of Al-Basitah’s “Civil Administration” which is affiliated with Autonomous-Administration.
