Deir Ezzor | Civilian killed in clashes in eastern countryside following disputes over forward contracts

Deir Ezzor province: SOHR sources have reported that an activist was killed in clashes which erupted following a dispute with a company dealing with forward contracts in Al-Keshkiyah town in eastern Deir Ezzor.

In mid-August, SOHR sources reported rising tension in Al-She’aytat town in Deir Ezzor countryside, after the escape of owners of holding companies dealing with forward contracts.

Many forward contract holders gathered in the towns of Ghranij, Al-Kashkiyah and Abu Hammam following the news of the escape of the owner of a holding company from Abu Hamam town, east of Deir Ezzor.

In this context, a group of forward contract holders stormed the owner of holding company’s ”mall,” and house, seizing the properties in the house.

It is worth noting that the house of the owner of a holding company in Al-Saa’fah was also vandalized, days earlier, by civilians, after the escape of the company’s owner.
