Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have documented a new murder in SDF-controlled areas, where a 22-year-old man opened fire on his mother and father, killing the mother and injuring the father, before shooting him self dead. The motives and reasons behind the murder, which took place on the road between Tel Sutayh and Al-Tawareej in Al-Qamishli countryside in Al-Hasakah province, remain unknown.

This coincides with the escalating crime rate in SDF-controlled areas in north-east Syria.

On September 29, SOHR sources in Al-Raqqah city reported a new horrific crime in light of the escalating security chaos, as a man stabbed his 17-year-old wife to death using a sharp tool, before he cremated her body, with the help of his mother. The reasons and motives behind this crime, was committed in Abu Al-Hees street in SDF-controlled areas in eastern Al-Raqqah, remain unknown.

According to SOHR sources, the man claimed that his wife was burned when she was attempting to fire up a portable kerosene stove, which caused her death. When the coroner was examining the body, he found out that there were marks of stabs from a sharp tool in her back. Accordingly, local authorities have arrested the husband and his family.
